The Anti-Aging Benefits of Microgreens
The steady loss of tissue and organ functionality that characterizes aging is partially caused by the accumulation of oxidative stress. Antioxidant therapy can help to reduce oxidative stress and prevent early aging. Microgreens have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities and are high in vitamins and phytochemicals. The purpose of this study of the literature is to look into the nutrient components of microgreens and how they affect aging. The research used a thorough evaluation of the available literature from the last ten years up through 2021, stressing the anti-aging properties of microgreens. The study found that compared to their fully grown counterparts, microgreens have a higher content of vitamins and phytochemicals. They specifically contain polyphenols and the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory vitamins A, C, and E.
